INFORMATION ABOUT US
Great Stories Book Shoppe is located at 101 1st Street West in Jamestown, ND in the old James River National Bank Building. Great Stories is a full line book store. We have the New York Times Best Sellers, New Releases, Classics, Children’s Picture Books, Chapter Books and a whole lot more. We also have a wide selection of Regional books including local area authors such as Bruce Berg, Kent Kamron (Delray K. Dvoracek), Brenda Ehrmantraut, Scott Eide, Terry Entzminger, Mary Ellen Erickson, Curt Eriksmoen, Reese Hawkins, Jon Liechty, Ann Marie Low, Shirley Nitschke, Keith Norman, Harvey Sletten, Ruth Jesness Tweed, Loretta Welk-Jung, Ward Wilkins, and Shannon Wirrenga. We stock 250+ magazines including weeklies, monthlies and puzzle books.
We carry a selection of Leanin’ Tree products including greeting cards and posters along with Antioch products. We also have a selection of jig-saw puzzles and games.
Our walls are decorated with photographs by Jesse Schwartz and art work by Brad Bohl; which are on consignment. If you see anything that catches your fancy, let us know and we can quote a price for you.
We can do special orders that ship within 7 to 10 days. The only information that we need is the title of the book and/or the author. We cover shipping and if the book is not exactly what you expected you are not obligated to purchase it. We offer two different programs; a membership into our Reader's Club costs $25.00/year and then you are entitled to 10% off all purchases in the store for that year. This program is non-transferable/refundable. We also have an Educator's Club with no membership cost. This is for teachers/librarians who purchase for their classrooms. A 10% discount is applied on any purchases for school use.
